Hike the Y
We finally hiked the Y!! Since I didn't move into the dorms when I first came to BYU, or participate in any of the freshman activities, I never got to hike the Y. I've wanted to do it for a long time but we never had the time. On Monday for FHE, we finally bucked up and did it. It was awesome!! Haha the hike was just as bad as people have told me, but it was all worth it when we got to the top. Unfortunately, it was way too dark to take pictures of anything so this is the only one we took. It's my proof that we finally did it! For some reason this summer I have really wanted to get outside and hike! I want to go to St George and take Luis to Zion's and Red Cliffs. I think I've just been tired of the gloomy weather here and want to get out!! I have missed summer...
Luis is 24!!
Yesterday Luis had his 24th Birthday!!! He had to go to work from 7 to 11 and then it was all play for the rest of the day!! He came home and opened presents and then we went and saw Clash of the Titans at the movie theater. It was a good movie, but kind of freaky. I had to look away at a few parts. After the movie, we went and got Cafe Rio and then had a group of friends come over for cake and ice cream.
Yes, I got Luis a Wii. My mom talked me into it. Luis got 2nd place in the Biggest Loser competition at work and so they gave him a digital camera. I took the camera back and used that money and some from my parents to get him his Wii. I think he's pretty excited!!
This is his Birthday outfit I got him. Unfortunately the neck is too high on the shirt so we're going to take it back...but I still think I did a pretty good job:)
Luis posing in his new outfit. He said I couldn't post this anywhere but I couldn't help it!!
This is the beautiful cake I decorated. The picture in the corner is not a clown, it's Luis. I only had four colors to work with.
For some reason he's plugging his nose while he blows them out...I'm not really sure why though. Anyway, I hope Luis enjoyed his birthday!! I sure did!

California!
Last weekend, Luis and I went to California for his brother, Anthony's, graduation. It's kind of weird, even though I hate driving for 11 hours, I still kinda like it because it's 11 hours stuck in a car with Luis. We have a lot of fun talking and spending time together:) On Friday we woke up and babysat Anthony and Kira's two little kids Ellie and James. It was a lot of fun, they are too cute! We jumped on the trampoline, drew with chalk, and played in their "castle". After that, we went to see the rest of Luis' family and hung out with them for awhile. That night, Luis went to the father and son's with Anthony and James, while I stayed and had a girl's night with Kira, Ellie, and Luis' sister, Kathryn. It has been so long since I have had a girl's night. We painted our toe nails and Ellie picked out sparkly pink for me haha. Luis is still weirded out by the fact that my nails are painted. I haven't painted them since before we were married! Then we went and got ice cream from Baskin Robins, came back, and Ellie and I baked a birthday cake for Luis. I was surprised at how well she did for a 4 year-old!! Then we watched A Knight's Tale and waited for the guys to get home. Saturday was the graduation and it was a really good ceremony. I was loving how nice the weather was!! Anthony graduated!! Yay Anthony!! Haha I was way bummed because I forgot my camera and so I didn't get any pictures of this weekend. After the graduation, we went to dinner at El Toritos for Luis' birthday dinner and had cake and ice cream. The cake was pretty sweet, Kira decorated it into a half graduation, half birthday cake. It looked good!! Then they both opened presents. Luis got some workout shorts and a gift card and Anthony got a pull-up bar and some dumb bells so he can do P90X. All-in-all it was a great weekend!! I really enjoyed staying at Anthony and Kira's house and playing with Ellie and James. They are such a great family and it was fun to see them again:)

Battlestar Galactica
For about a year, Luis and I have been obsessed with this show, Battlestar Galactica. My parents got us hooked on it when they gave Mandi the first season for Christmas. Since then, we've been renting the seasons from Blockbuster and wasting a lot of time. Basically, it's about humans who create robots called Cylons and over time they evolve into human forms and attack the humans. The remaining humans then have to look for a new home, which they think is called earth, while also running from the Cylons. Anyway, we finally finished the whole series and got to find out what happens. Now we need to find something else to watch.
Families are Forever
Last weekend we were in St George for Steve and Jazmine's sealing. I was really excited to be home and spend time with my family. On Friday night my mom got a call from my Aunt Norene that our cousin Michael had been in a car accident and died. They think he swerved to miss a deer and rolled his car a few times. Since he wasn't wearing his seat belt, he was flown from the car and it landed on top of him. My mom left that night to take my grandma and grandpa up to Delta while the rest of us stayed in St George to go to the sealing. The sealing was beautiful and the sealer talked a lot about eternal families. This experience has made me so glad that we can live with our families forever. I'm so happy that I have that knowledge. The funeral for Michael was so beautiful. There were so many people there who loved him. I know that we will see Michael again:)
Bridal Veil Falls
After finals, Luis and I decided we needed some fun, so we drove up the canyon to Bridal Veil Falls. It wasn't exactly what I expected, but we had a lot of fun just walking down the path and talking. I was a bit disappointed because there wasn't any wildlife. I wanted to see a squirrel or a lizard or something. Unfortunately, it was still too cold out for animals...but we did see two ducks in the river which was definitely the highlight of our walk. I love spending time with Luis, we had so much fun just talking. I love that we've been married for almost a year and we never get tired of each other. Marriage is great!:D
Luis decided to climb up closer to the waterfall, if you look closely you can see him haha.
