Battlestar Galactica

For about a year, Luis and I have been obsessed with this show, Battlestar Galactica. My parents got us hooked on it when they gave Mandi the first season for Christmas. Since then, we've been renting the seasons from Blockbuster and wasting a lot of time. Basically, it's about humans who create robots called Cylons and over time they evolve into human forms and attack the humans. The remaining humans then have to look for a new home, which they think is called earth, while also running from the Cylons. Anyway, we finally finished the whole series and got to find out what happens. Now we need to find something else to watch.

Families are Forever

Last weekend we were in St George for Steve and Jazmine's sealing. I was really excited to be home and spend time with my family. On Friday night my mom got a call from my Aunt Norene that our cousin Michael had been in a car accident and died. They think he swerved to miss a deer and rolled his car a few times. Since he wasn't wearing his seat belt, he was flown from the car and it landed on top of him. My mom left that night to take my grandma and grandpa up to Delta while the rest of us stayed in St George to go to the sealing. The sealing was beautiful and the sealer talked a lot about eternal families. This experience has made me so glad that we can live with our families forever. I'm so happy that I have that knowledge. The funeral for Michael was so beautiful. There were so many people there who loved him. I know that we will see Michael again:)

Bridal Veil Falls

After finals, Luis and I decided we needed some fun, so we drove up the canyon to Bridal Veil Falls. It wasn't exactly what I expected, but we had a lot of fun just walking down the path and talking. I was a bit disappointed because there wasn't any wildlife. I wanted to see a squirrel or a lizard or something. Unfortunately, it was still too cold out for animals...but we did see two ducks in the river which was definitely the highlight of our walk. I love spending time with Luis, we had so much fun just talking. I love that we've been married for almost a year and we never get tired of each other. Marriage is great!:D
Luis decided to climb up closer to the waterfall, if you look closely you can see him haha.

The End of Finals!!

I officially finished my last final this morning at 8:00!! I'm so excited to be finished for the summer, it will be nice to be able to relax:) Luis finished his finals yesterday. He did awesome on his which I really don't understand. He has only gone to one of his classes about 6 times and the other class he hasn't been to since the middle of March and he does great on his finals!! Me on the other hand, I went to almost every one of my classes, studied way hard throughout the semester, and I probably did worse on some of my finals. Where is the justice? Oh well, I'm just glad that I am done! Now I need to start looking for a job again. It seems like nothing is hiring, but hopefully since there are kids leaving for the summer, I'll be able to find something. Wish me luck!!

Day at the Park

Luis and I were so excited this week that there was actually nice weather in Provo that we decided to go to the park! We got a sweet GI Joe kite from Wal-Mart that we were pretty excited about too. These are pictures of us just being silly haha.

I think this is the first time I have ever flown a kite! I'm a pro! After we got tired of the kite, we decided to play Frisbee for awhile, until Luis started coughing a lot. Then we just laid on the grass and Luis fell asleep haha. I just love the sun:)

Sniffles

So Luis and I have been sick for about three weeks now. We caught a cold a few weeks ago, got better right in time to go to St George for Easter, and then two days after we got home, we got sick again. This second time around we had really bad fevers, body aches, chills...pretty much the whole works. After about 3 days of feeling horrible, we decided to go to the doctors. I don't think this doctor really knew what he was talking about. Luis and I both have the exact same symptoms and yet he diagnosed me with a sinus infection, and Luis with either a sinus infection or viral bronchitis. I don't know...but he gave us antibiotics so it's all good! We're feeling much better now, right in time for finals. I'm so excited to be done with classes for the summer. Now I just need to find a job, that should be fun! Anyway, that's what's been going on with us for the last few weeks!!

Nate and Danae's Wedding!!

Nate and Danae's wedding was beautiful! It was so fun to be able to finally go to one of my brother's weddings and see them sealed in the temple.

Mandi, me, and Danae's little sister were bridesmaids and her grandma made us these cute bridesmaid dresses!

My cute husband and I waiting for the happy couple to come out of the temple.

Me and Mandi doing our "hot" bridesmaid pose

All of the girls :)

The family...haha everyone kept commenting on the height difference between our families. It is pretty funny.

There they are cutting the cake.

Me and one of my best friends, Brittany!! It was fun to see her again.

Sorry, this is a horrible picture but it is Danae and Nate leaving for their honeymoon! Their wedding was so wonderful and I had a lot of fun. Danae did an awesome job planning everything and the church for the reception looked amazing. It will be fun to have another member in our family:) Congratulations Nate and Danae!!
